Please NOTE – The 2023 New England Songwriting Competition is going back to it’s roots. To enter you must live in New England, or have some connection to New England. If you have any questions regarding eligibility, please contact Sue Martin here.
The New England Songwriting Competition has been around for over 15 years. It was previously known as the Eventide Songwriting Competition. Re-branded in 2022, and now a separate entity, we have new judges, new prizes and a lot of enthusiasm!
When you enter one of the “larger” contests, you send your song(s) and your entry fee and you may never hear from them again. That’s not us! Whether you have entered in previous years or this is your first year, you will find out that we are always available to answer any questions and respond to any suggestions.
We keep our entry fee low, it has been the same for over five years. The competition is not a profit-making venture; we virtually break even, using all entry fees on prizes and awards. We do this because we love to support songwriters in any way that we can.
In sum, we’re here to help you be a better songwriter and to get your music heard. If you have any questions, or suggestions for making the site or the competition better, please email us. We love hearing from you all.
Sue Martin, Director

Thanks too much! I appreciate the time and work you put into this wonderful contest. It helps to make my songs better. I have entered many contests and I can say that NESC is excellent in it’s organization and professionalism. Please have me on your mailing list for next year’s contest!
