ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) POLICY
The New England Songwriting Competition is committed to recognizing original songs created by human songwriters.
The use of generative AI or AI-assisted creative tools to write, generate, substantially edit, or create any part of a submitted song—including lyrics, melody, music, or vocals—is strictly prohibited.
By submitting a song, the songwriter certifies that the entry is their original human-created work and was not created or materially assisted by AI.
If an entry is found to have used AI in violation of this rule, it will be disqualified immediately. The entry fee will not be refunded, and if the song has already received a prize, the prize may be revoked and must be returned.
The Competition reserves the right to request information regarding the creation and authorship of any submitted song.
When in doubt, ask the Competition Director before submitting.
